The young Hvidovre-runner left the danish elite in his dust took home the DM title at Cph Half.

Abdi Hakin Ulad from Hvidovre Atletik & Motion took home the title of Danish champion when he crossed the finish line at Østre Allé in Copennhagen in the time 1:02:48 – 25 seconds from his personal best.

It was tough running alone for so long. The other would not cooprate and i lead alot in the strong wind said Abdi Ulad who finished 16th.

No dane could threaten Ulad, though the subsequent runners had quite the exciting finish.

Nearing the finish line Jesper Faurschou (Herning Løbeklub), Thijs M. Nijhuis (Viborg Atletik og Motion) and Henrik Them Andersen (Sparta) were side by side, but in the end Nijhuis dug deep and beat out Them in a sprint finish, who then had to settle for 3rd with Faurschou finishing 4th. Looking at the finish times bear witness to the close finish amount the three.

The race winner for the women was favorite Anna Holm Baurmeister finish with a time of 1:13:34, a new personal best for her.

Baurmeister set off at a furoius pace and barring an injury, had the race won after 5m.

Everything was on point today. It was a good race where i worked together well with many of the runners. The wind was a bit rough, but i am super happy with my time said Baurmeister.

Finishing 2nd was Aarhus1900 runner Loiuse Langlund Batting with the time of 1:15:55 which also made for personal best for her. The battle for the podium was less exciting for the women, but a race where the favorites had a great showing, living up to their roles as favorites.
