Buy or sell entry for CPH Half
Løbere, der løber på Østerbro

Didn’t you get an entry for the Copenhagen Half Marathon? Or can you not run? Fortunately, there is good advice for that. On this page, you can read about how to buy or sell an entry for CPH Half.

This is how you buy an entry

If you want to buy an entry, you must sign up for our waiting pool. If you are drawn among all those in the pool when a race number goes on sale, you will be notified directly by email.

Can’t you participate as planned?

If you have to sell give away your entry for CPH Half, you have three different options to choose from:

  • Give it to a friend
  • Sell it to a friend
  • Put it up for sale in the waiting pool

If you want to give your entry number away or sell it to a friend, you can do so via your participant profile – you will find the login and code for your participant profile in your confirmation email when you signed up for CPH Half.

How does it work in practice?

You set your own price (max price is the original selling price) and then a random person is selected from the waiting pool. The selected person is notified directly via email that they now have 36 hours to complete the transaction.

If the buyer does not complete the transaction within the 36 hours, the entry will be offered to someone else in the waiting pool.

The seller pays the administration fee of 100DKK in connection with a sale, regardless of the method used.

If you have any questions, please read our FAQ on this page or contact us at cphhalf@sparta.dk

  • Much of the feedback we received for the resale platform was that you had to be quick to buy a race number via the platform.

The waiting pool is to make it equal for everyone, as it’s a random draw if a entry comes up for sale.

However, the resale platform will return 1-2 weeks before race day. Read more in this FAQ under ‘Is the old resale platform closed?

  • You choose your selling price. However, you cannot set it higher than the entry’s original cost of 625 DKK or 85 euro.

An administration fee of 100 DKK / 15 euro is charged for the transfer, which the seller pays.

  • When selling or buying an entry through our systems you are guaranteed that you won’t buy a fake entry. This is the only safe and secure way to buy an entry second-hand.

  • If someone sells their entry in an open sale, the buyer is random and automatically drawn from the waiting list. The buyer has 36 hours to complete the purchase or someone new in the waiting pool will be contacted.

  • If you are drawn you will receive an email from us. You will then have 36 hours to complete the transaction. If you don’t do so within 36 hours, the entry will pass on to someone else on the waiting list.

  • When you add your name to the waiting pool, your data will automatically be transferred to your future participant profile. It’s therefore important that you enter the correct information, as you will not be able to correct it when you register.

  • Each person on the waiting list can only buy the entry they are offered.

  • If you are drawn, you will be subsequently removed from the waiting list – regardless of whether you buy the offered entry.

  • You will find your username and password in your confirmation email when you sign up for CPH Half. You can log in using the link below or via your confirmation email.

  • Approximately 1-2 weeks before race day, the previous resale platform will temporarily return. The waiting list will then return for next year’s edition when the race is sold out.

The resale platform will temporarily return, as experience shows that most entries will switch hands 1-2 weeks before race day. It returns it to make the transactions happen as fast as possible.
