CPH Half in numbers
CPH Half first saw the light of day in 2014, after a fantastic World Road Race Championships in 2014. Soon after, the CPH Half already cemented its status as a half marathon worth travelling for.
In 2019, the previous world record was set at CPH Half, when Geoffrey Kamworor crossed the finish line in just 59 minutes and 1 second. That same year, the event sold out for the first time.
Since then, CPH Half has not looked back.
Various records have been set repeatedly, including a European record for women in 2018 by Sifan Hassan, a participant record every year since 2022.
In 2024, over 29,000 participants have registered, which is another participant record.

The Copenhagen Half Marathon has undergone a fantastic development since its inception in 2015.
Since 2022, the number of participants has only grown. This year, the CPH Half has never been bigger with more than 29,000 participants registered. In 2019, the event sold out for the first time and set a world record. The 2022 registration numbers reflect the fact that Denmark, and the rest of the world, was shut down for a long time due to Covid-19.
Since then, the CPH Half has grown year by year, and this year, a record number of more than 29,000 participants have registered.
