Based on the success of CPH Half ’24, we expect to sell out quit fast tomorrow when registration for next year’s anniversary edition open.
30,000 bibs will go on sale on Tuesday morning for the 10th anniversary edition of the Copenhagen Half Marathon. This could make it the biggest half marathon on Danish soil. Ever.
Interest is overwhelming from home and abroad, and the organisers recommend that interested buyers enter an online waiting room even before the sale opens at 10:00. The waiting room is a new initiative to help manage the high level of interest.
‘It’s incredible to see how CPH Half has grown over the past 10 years. The event continues to reach new heights and has become one of the world’s most prestigious half marathons that everyone wants to be a part of. Next year we look forward to celebrating the 10th anniversary,’ says Dorte Vibjerg, CEO of Sparta Athletics & Running.
New initiative to handle the great interest
To ensure that the systems can cope with the high interest, Sparta is introducing an online waiting room this year. The new waiting room will be active one hour before sales start. When registration opens at exactly 10.00 am, everyone in the waiting room will be assigned a random place in the queue for registration. If you register after that time, you will be placed at the end of the queue. The purchase process is described in CPH Half’s FAQ, which can be read here: www.cphhalf.dk/faq/
