Samsung and Sparta Athletics & Running have just entered into a new partnership aimed at improving the race experience for all participants at the Copenhagen Half Marathon—whether they are elite athletes or recreational runners.
“We’re excited to partner with Sparta Athletics & Running, the organizers of the Copenhagen Half Marathon. At Samsung, we develop technology that helps people live healthier lives and get more out of their training. This partnership allows us to combine our tech solutions with the incredible running culture Sparta has built over the decades,” says Søren Rinnov Østergaard, Country Manager at Samsung Denmark.
A survey conducted by Norstat on behalf of Samsung shows that three out of four (76%) Danes monitor their health data using gadgets—for example, by tracking steps or measuring heart rate during workouts.
In a time where data and tracking have become part of everyday life, Samsung sees a growing interest in monitoring health using tools such as running watches and smart rings. This kind of technology helps runners better understand their bodies and supports them in improving their training and everyday habits.
“Together with Samsung, we look forward to making the Copenhagen Half Marathon experience even bigger. Samsung will be a visible partner, activating both at the expos and along the race route with entertainment,” says Jesper Lind Andersson, Commercial Director at Sparta Athletics & Running.
It’s already confirmed that Samsung will host the cheer zone party at Nørrebros Runddel during the Copenhagen Half Marathon on September 14.
