The Refreshment Stations
There are five regular refreshment Stations and four elite extra refreshment stations along the course. In addition, there is a Red Bull sampling spot that only serves Red Bull mixed with water.
The five regular refreshment stations can be used by all participants, while the four elite extra refreshment stations are reserved exclusively for Elite A and B runners and seeded participants in the Danish championships.
Location
As an elite runner or participant in the Danish Championships, you can store personal bottles at the five regular stations. The personal bottles will be placed on tables at the beginning of the aid station and always on the right side of the road. There are signs 100 meters before a zone so you are prepared.
In the four ‘Extra elite’ refreshment stations, which only elite runners and DM participants can use, it is NOT possible to carry personal liquids. It is also not possible to have personal refreshments in the Red Bull station.
See the map of the refreshment stations below. Further down the page, you can see a table with kilometers for the different stations.
Hand in your Personal Refreshments
As an Elite A runner, you hand in your personal refreshments in the Elite A area. Elite B runners and seeded participants in the Danish Championships must hand in their personal refreshments in the drop-off area along Sparta Hallen, where the Expo is placed. The name of the road is: Per Henrik Lings Allé.
Drop-off of personal refreshments must be done in the morning of Race Day at 07.30 – 08.00 AM.
It will NOT be possible to drop off your personal refreshments outside of this time.
Guide: How to hand in your personal refreshments
- Go to the table that corresponds to your start number. The numbers are marked in front of the table – it could be ‘Bib no. 1-25’.
- On the table are five boxes with kilometer numbers on them. The boxes correspond to the five refreshment stations on the course. Place a bottle in the kilometer-boxes where you want to have refreshments on the course.
- Remember the number on the blue sign at the table where you have placed your bottle. It could be ‘Elite 10’, for example. When you arrive at the refreshment station on the course, your bottle will be waiting for you at the table with the corresponding blue sign – in this case ‘Elite 10’.
