Goosebumps? Guaranteed.

The second the gun goes off, you’re not just running. You’re part of something bigger. Copenhagen opens up, and thousands of runners and spectators turn the streets into one massive celebration of speed and personal breakthroughs. It’s time to have a blast.

In 2026, Copenhagen hosts the World Athletics Road Running Championships – and the official Half Marathon World Champions will be crowned right here on September 20.

Since the very first edition in 2015, Copenhagen Half Marathon has earned its rep as the race where fast meets fun. The course is made for pushing limits: wide roads, closed traffic, and so flat you can practically see your personal best waiting at the finish line. This is where pace and party collide.

But it’s not just about the clock. It’s about everything you take in along the way. You’ll run through colorful neighborhoods, the historic city center, and green boulevards in Frederiksberg. And when the legs get heavy? Power Zones packed with music and entertainment will lift you. And the crowd? Electric. Copenhagen doesn’t whisper — it roars.

Whether you’re chasing a new record, running your very first half, or just here for the ride, CPH Half is made for you. We’ve got the route, the vibe, the full setup. You bring the legs. Oh, and remember to pick your legs up in lost and found after the race.
