Get ready for a half marathon!

A half marathon is an amazing distance. It’s long enough to push you both physically and mentally, but at the same time, the 21.1 kilometers are also manageable enough that most people can train themselves to complete them.

One of the best ways to prepare for a half marathon is to follow a program. Otherwise, you might end up running the same route at the same pace every time, which won’t lead to much progress. By following a program, each run has a purpose, allowing you to build your fitness and endurance in a structured and effective way.

On this page, you can find two programs created by running coaches from Sparta Atletik og Løb which is the organisation behind CPH Half. The programs last for either 10 or 12 weeks, depending on how much time you have available, and they both consist of three runs per week.

This provides a good balance between the stress you put on your body during training and the time your body needs to recover and grow stronger between sessions.
